About us

We are a small team of specialised Joiners creating finely crafted and uniquely designed wood doors.  Passionate about good design we are inspired by the architecture of the buildings for which they are made and the natural markings of the wood, taking immense pride in each individual door we make.

Acorn Doors was established in 1986 by Mike and Paul Lawrence, father and son, both expert Joiners, who have built up the business to be award winning and highly acclaimed for its workmanship. 

Our customers include Designers, Architects and home owners nationwide.  We design and make each door in the finest of woods from sustainable sources to complement all styles of building – from medieval to highly contemporary.  We also offer a collection of over 60 existing styles which we make to order in any size.
